Training Assistant
Role Description
We are looking for a passionate and reliable Children's/or Adult Training Assistant, self motivated and who can work alone and as part of the team. The volunteer will help the trainer/teacher with Mini Medics - First Aid and Mental Health training for children. The Adult Training Assistant will help with Training for Adults. The training will be facilitated at libraries, community centres, schools, any other places. The volunteer will help with individual children and groups, help with activities and to safeguard children. Minimum volunteer age is 16.
The Volunteer will be:
- helping with activities for children/adults
-Safeguarding children/adults
- filling in risk assessments/venue checklists
- looking after own and children's/adults Health and Safety
- being proactive
- engaging with parents, carers and grandparents
- engaging with local residents
- engaging with partner organisations
- assist the trainer/teacher with any other jobs
- helping with bags/preparing the venue and cleaning/tidying after the training

Customer Service Volunteer
Role Description
The purpose of the role is to support community engagement by representing the organisation at information stalls and events. The role helps raise awareness of services, recruit volunteers, and provide a welcoming point of contact for members of the public.
The Volunteer will:

Help at Information stalls at community venues and events.

Display and manage promotional materials including banners, flyers, and leaflets

Provide clear and friendly information about services and activities
-
Engage with members of the public in a welcoming and approachable way
-
Signpost and support people interested in volunteering or accessing services
-
Help collect volunteer sign-ups and basic enquries
-
Assist with setting up and packing down stall materials

Leafleting Volunteer
Role Description
The purpose of the role is to support community outreach by distributing leaflets and promotional materials across local areas, helping to raise awareness of services, events, and opportunities.
The Volunteer will:
• Distribute leaflets in agreed local areas (e.g. to businesses, community centres, libraries, shops, and noticeboards)
• Follow guidance on target areas and delivery instructions
• Represent the organisation positively when engaging with the public (if approached)
• Return any undelivered materials or feedback where required
• Work independently while following agreed plans and timelines.
